Weddings...

For the month of  May,we have received 2 invitations to attend friends' children tying the knot. It'll be a long wait for those of you who are expecting any invitation of this kind from us,as yet.
I'm sure most of you watched if not all of the Live telecast of the just concluded Royal Wedding of Prince William & his wife,Kate. Apart from the Kiss(es) on the balcony at Buckingham Palace that all were waiting to witness,the wedding gown to be worn by Kate & who designed it was very much on everyone's mind.Everybody was on the guessing game as to what type of wedding gown she'd be wearing.
At long last when we got to see the wedding gown,we were not disappointed for indeed it was a beautiful dress & worth keeping it a secret.
A friend commented that times are indeed a changing. She belongs to the old school of thought where she still thinks it would be nice if  the groom only gets to see the bride in all her beauty & splendour wearing the wedding gown on the wedding day itself. Unlike what we have in this part of the world where the bride & groom to- be have had their wedding photos taken months before the wedding,so on the day itself,some say there's not so much "OOMMPPHH"" left. Looking at the expression on Prince William's face when he saw his bride for the first time in a wedding gown,I guess it was worth waiting for....
The urang puteh thinks it's bad luck to see your bride in a wedding dress before the wedding,kenu ko cerita. Since we are ukai urang puteh,go ahead saja lah...
